Münster, 03 March 2014 – The world’s leading industrial property insurer confirms that ArmaFlex Ultima meets the highest national and international requirements for construction projects. The low-smoke elastomeric insulation material from Armacell was tested and certified by FM Approvals, a division of FM Global.
FM Approvals ensure highest quality and safety standards
Many companies that operate internationally now stipulate the use of FM-certified materials in their specifications. The certification mark from the global leader in industrial loss prevention is especially required in public invitations to tender. FM Approvals is an internationally recognized organization that tests and certifies products to prevent property loss in industrial or commercial applications. The certificates, which are also recognized in Europe, ensure that plant and products comply with the highest quality and safety standards. FM Approvals is a notified body of the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and certifying body of the EOTA.
Complete range of tubes and sheets approved
The FM certificate applies to the whole range of standard and self-adhesive ArmaFlex Ultima sheets and tubes. When ArmaFlex Ultima is used, maximum safety is achieved. The closed-cell insulation material with a low thermal conductivity and high resistance to water-vapour transmission provides the pipes with long-term protection against energy losses and condensation. In a fire, ArmaFlex Ultima develops much less smoke than traditional elastomeric products and makes an important contribution to people’s safety in buildings.
