Luxembourg, January 7, 2016 – Armacell, a leader in flexible insulation foams for the equipment insulation market and a leading provider of engineered foams, continues its international growth strategy and launches own production facility in Russia. The plant is located in Lobnya, north of Moscow. It will produce a comprehensive range of products, including high-density materials. These will serve major distributors and general construction companies as well as their installers in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belorussia and Azerbaijan.
“The Russian market is very interesting for us as the local demand for high-performance insulation products is continuously growing. This is mainly due to the increasing substitution of traditional insulation materials. Here, our flexible foam solutions provide a superior product at a lower total installed cost”, says Patrick Mathieu, CEO of Armacell International S.A. “With our new plant in Russia we underline our consistent effort to build-up regional market expertise in order to supply first-class services to the local market. Furthermore, we continue to focus on expanding our strong market position and to deliver on our international growth strategy.”
Armacell has been present in Russia since 2008. In March 2010, the subsidiary 'OOO Armacell Rus' was established and warehouses in Novosibirsk, Krasnodar and Saint Petersburg were added in the following two years. An increasing diversity in the customer portfolio and an expansion of the distribution network in Russia followed. Hence, the brownfield construction of our own production site is the logical next step to serve the continuously growing domestic demand.
