Münster, 7 February 2018. – Armacell is presenting its product portfolio for preventive fire protection at the FeuerTrutz. This year, the company’s focus is on the low-smoke elastomeric product ArmaFlex Ultima, the ArmaFlex Protect fire penetration seal and the new Armacell BIM Plug-in.
Simple, safe and energy-efficient way to seal penetrations
With the ArmaFlex Protect fire protection barrier, penetrations for almost every type of building service pipe can be sealed without any additional measures. At the same time the product ensures effective thermal insulation and reliable condensation control. Applications in shipbuilding are now also possible: the highly flexible fire protection seal is approved for use in A-60 classified deck and bulkhead constructions.
New safety standard in technical insulation
ArmaFlex Ultima is the first highly flexible technical insulation material with extremely low smoke density (B/BL-s1, d0). The product exhibits 10 times less smoke development compared to standard elastomeric products and makes a significant contribution to the fire safety level of buildings.
Armacell goes BIM
For planning technical insulation materials for building service equipment digitally Armacell now provides a BIM Plug-in. The plug-in is seamlessly integrated in the AutoDesk Revit program and makes it much easier to plan the technical insulation in BIM. The direct export from the Armacell product database allows the entire product configuration to be automated. As a result, the planning and design process is simpler and faster for the user and errors are reduced.
Live presentation
An Armacell application specialist will demonstrate live at the stand how quickly, easily and neatly the highly flexible Armacell products can be installed. Visitors will benefit from the expert tips and are also invited to ask specific questions about the installation of Armacell products.
