Luxembourg / Tokyo, 11 January 2022 – Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced the release of a new industrial standard for flexible elastomeric foam thermal insulation materials. Armacell, a global leader in flexible foam for the equipment insulation market and a leading provider of engineered foams, was a key contributor in the development of the JIS A9516 standard.
The establishment of this new standard will provide an objective evalution of the quality of flexible elastomeric foam insulation for use in plumbing as well as in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) applications in multiple destination markets such as commercial buildings, industrial facilities and marine applications.
Since the invention of this material in 1954, Armacell has demonstrated expertise and efficiency in a variety of projects around the world.
