In August 2014, Susan Krambo joined Armacell as Director Corpo-
rate Communications. She previously worked for specialty chemi-
cals company LANXESS where she gained extensive knowledge of
theB2B sector: asVicePresident International Coordination&Stra-
tegic Projects she set up a global project management system and
was responsibleboth formanaging international teams and for the
worldwide roll-out of new event formats. In her position at Arma-
cell SusanKrambowill develop andenhance the international insu-
lationmaterialmanufacturer’s corporate communications.
Since lastOctober, Jean-LucChollier hasbeen supporting theCen-
tral Marketing Team EMEA. He has more than 20 years’ experi-
ence in the construction industry. Before joining Armacell he
worked for Saint-GobainWeber where as ProductManager ETICS
hemanaged the product development, product mix andmarket-
ing plan for external thermal insulation composite systems in
France. At Armacell Jean-Luc Chollier’s responsibilities include
marketing Armaflex Ultima, AF/Armaflex and the system accesso-
ries.
GermansitesgainDINEN ISO50001certification
The energy management system at the German Armacell locations
Münster and Friesenhofen has now been certified by the independent
certification society Bureau Veritas. To record all energy-relevant data
systematically, an energymanagement systemwas introduced in 2013.
Energymanagement ispartof the integratedmanagement system (IMS)
and forms an equally important pillar alongside quality and environ-
mental management. Certification is based on EN ISO 50001, the new
sister standard to ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment). By
2020, the energy requirement at theGerman sites is to be reduced by
5% compared to2013.
The Armacell manufacturing facilities inMebane, NC and Atlanta, GA
have been recognized with the Gold Safety Award from the National
Insulation Association (NIA). The Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished
SafetyAward is thehighest industryhonourand theonlynational award
for outstanding safetyperformance in themechanical insulation sector.
This latest honour followsMebane receiving the prestigious Safety and
Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) certification from
theOccupational HealthandSafetyAdministration (OSHA) in2013.

Armacell trade fairs2015
Thenew trade fairyear startedverysuccessfully forArmacell: at theend
of January the AHR Expo in Chicago trumped all previous records with
42,000 visitors and 21,000 exhibitors. Crowds flocked to Armacell’s
stand where Armaflex Black LapSeal with its new closure system pre-
miered. The absolute highlights on the Armacell stand at the Clima-
tización inMadridat theendof Februarywere the low-smokeArmaflex
Ultima and the newArmaflex adhesives. At the same time, the ACREX
India, the largestHVACexhibition inSouthAsia, providedArmacellwith
the ideal platform for presenting its energy efficient solutions for air-
conditioning, refrigerationandbuilding services.Under themotto “Less
Energy =More Life” some 400 exhibitors from over 25 countries pre-
sented their newproducts toover 28,000 visitors inBangalore.
