This is the Privacy Policy of Armacell Asia Pte Ltd ("Armacell").
1. Introduction
Armacell respects your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (No. 26 of 2012) (the “PDPA”).
This policy describes how Armacell collects, uses and discloses personal data and other information governed by the PDPA.
If you wish provide Armacell with the personal data of anyone other than yourself, you must first inform him/her of the purposes for which we require the personal data (as contained in this Privacy Policy) and obtain his/her consent to pass on his/her personal data to us for such purposes. If you have not complied with this paragraph, you must not provide us with that person’s personal data.
2. What personal information about you does Armacell collect and hold?
Armacell may collect the following information from you or about you:
- name(s), address, email address, telephone number(s);
- trading history with us (including purchases, credit and payment history);
- any additional information you provide, such as when you contact our service or sales personnel – such additional information may include details of enquiries and complaints and of servicing needs;
- any information you may provide to us through customer surveys;
- any other personal data which Armacell is required to collect for identification and verification purposes; and
- any additional information provided in a consumer or commercial credit application you make.

3. How does Armacell collect personal data?
Armacell will generally collect personal data directly from you. Armacell may also collect personal data that you provide via our website and on social media, from lists that we may acquire from organisations that have your data and to whom you have provided consent to pass on such information, from regulatory authorities, from Armacell’s related bodies corporate and from our service providers. Armacell holds your personal data on the secure servers of Armacell and its related bodies corporate located within Germany.
4. What does Armacell do with your personal data?
We collect, use and disclose personal data for the purposes of:
- sending marketing communications to you based on your request or if otherwise authorised by law;
- research and product development;
- customer service requirements (including dealing with complaints);
- responding to any inquiries or comments that you submit to us;
- financial, regulatory and management reporting, and audit and record keeping;
- any purposes you have consented to; or
- any purpose which is required or authorised by law.
The PDPA does not prohibit the use of business contact information for certain modes of marketing communications. Armacell may therefore use your business contact information to send you such marketing communications (e.g. via telephone, mobile, fax, email or mail).
5. Who will Armacell disclose your personal data to?
Armacell may disclose your personal data:
- to related companies;
- to the advisors, consultants and contractors we ordinarily engage for the above purposes (such as mailing houses, insurers, printers, lawyers, accountants and other service providers);
- any other person or entity to whom you have consented to Armacell disclosing your personal data;
- to regulatory and law enforcement authorities and public agencies for compliance with their requirements or requests; and
- any disclosure which is required or authorised by law.
Your personal data may be provided to Armacell’s parent company in Germany and/or Luxembourg. Where your personal data is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we will only do so if the overseas recipient is bound by laws or other legally enforceable obligations which require them to provide to your personal data a standard of protection that is at least comparable to the protection under the PDPA.
6. Access to and correction of personal data
You may request access to personal data we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. A fee may be charged to cover the cost of responding to your request.
If at any time you believe that the personal data we hold about you is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, then you may request amendment of it.

8. Armacell Website
In general, you can browse the Armacell website without telling us who you are. The amount of information that you provide to Armacell will depend on the range and number of services that you choose to use. Particular sections of the Armacell website may require you to provide Armacell with personal data, such as your name and email address. We will only ask you to provide personal data that is necessary to provide a service to you or if it is necessary by law to collect such data.
By using the Armacell website you agree that the internet is not completely secure and that accordingly we can only make reasonable endeavours to secure your personal data and cannot provide any definitive assurance regarding security of personal data. Other than liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, Armacell will not be liable in any way in relation to any breach of security or any unintended loss or disclosure of any information that you provide to Armacell.
9. Miscellaneous
In this policy "personal data” and “business contact information" have the same meaning as under the PDPA.
This policy is effective from 5 October 2016. Armacell may change this policy from time to time. The latest version of this policy in force at the time will apply to our collection, use and disclosure of personal data.
