The Gold Standard of Pipe Lagging
In the summer of 2022, Installer Alan Marcon of Green and Reliable Plumbing and Heating used Armacell's toolbox to install an out-of-the-box insulation at a private mansion in Harrogate. In his own words, the project he created was "The gold standard of pipe lagging. I wanted this new client to have the best from ArmaFlex, but with an added top layer of thermalite gold insulation. The client was so happy, he invited his neighbours round to show off. His neighbour now wants me to help save them more energy, as they’re using too much oil.”

With snow, ice, gale-force winds and temperatures at -55 °C – conditions can hardly get tougher. A crack along the ice-shelf meant the station had to be moved 23 km across the ice and as part of the re-location new pipework is being insulated with ArmaFlex and Arma-Chek to prevent pipes from freezing.
