Armacell receives gold award for occupational safety and health management in Thailand

Bangkok, 9 May 2019 – Armacell, a global leader in flexible foam for the equipment insulation market and a leading provider of engineered foams, received recognition for its efforts in occupational safety and health management from the Ministry of Labour in Thailand.

The zero accident mindset is an integral part of Armacell’s manufacturing philosophy. In addition to various activities to promote and encourage health and safety practices globally, 53 standardised safety-related tool training courses were conducted in 2018. Over the past twelve months, Armacell Thailand recorded zero accidents.

Armacell's plant in Banpong (Ratchaburi Province, Thailand) was established in 2001 and consistently strives for "zero-accident". Following the audit carried out by the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare in Thailand, Armacell was honoured with a gold award for Good Practice in Occupational Safety and Health Management. This yearly award evaluates manufacturing facilities based on working hours and numbers of accidents.

“At Armacell, the health and safety of our employees comes first. We promote a zero accident mindset and we do all we can to ensure our people go home to their family and friends as fit and well as they arrive at work. To this end, we strive for adherence to all applicable occupational health and safety standards in the countries we do business in,” explains Liam Douglas, Armacell’s General Manager of Operations, APAC.
