Armacell India has added another feather to their product certifications with the recently received GRIHA certification for its thermal and acoustic products which is a benchmark in India for Green Building certifications.
GRIHA Council is a joint initiative of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to implement GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), India’s National Rating System for Sustainable Habitats.

4 products of Armacell India viz. Class 0 ArmaFlex®, Class 0 ArmaFlex® Plus, ArmaSound® Super Silence Ductliner and ArmaSound® Barrier E have received the GRIHA certification after intense scrutiny of the products and related manufacturing practices. The product submissions done with the GRIHA council underwent detailed scrutiny following which the GRIHA approval was received under the categories GRIHA V.2015 criterion: 8 & GRIHA V.3 criterion: 14 for thermal insulation and GRIHA V.2015 criterion: 11 & GRIHA V.3 criterion: 29 for acoustic insulation products.
With this certification, Armacell India shall have access to Government & Defence projects which are following the GRIHA rating & approval system for the Green Building classification. Currently, majority of the private sector projects look for subsidies from Government of India in lieu of Green Building facilities for which GRIHA Rating is mandatory. With the various incentives for builders conforming to the GRIHA Ratings for Green Buildings, the GRIHA certification received by Armacell India shall prove extremely valuable in the near future.
